Penelitian Retrospektif: Pioderma pada Anak di Instalasi Rawat Inap Kesehatan Kulit dan Kelamin RSUD Dr. Soetomo Surabaya Tahun 2002-2006 (Pyoderma in Children of Dermatovenerology Department at Dr. Soetomo General Hospital 2002-2006)
Pyoderma is a bacterial skin infection that commonly affect children and sometimes has severe clinical manifestatiom that needs special management. To determine characteristics of pyoderma in children which hospitalized at Department of Dematovenerecology Dr. Soetomo General Hospital Surabaya January 2002-December 2006. Retrospective studyfrom secondary data of pyoderma in children 5 years period. Sex, patients history, physical examination, laboratory, management and follow up were recorded. There were 37 patients (0.8%). The most frequent age group was 1-4 yeras old. The most common case was bullous impetigo (21.6%), impetigo contagiosa (18.9%), furunculosis (13,5%), cellulitis and erysilas (10.8%),foliculitis (8.1), and curbuncle (2,7%). Eritromycin was commony used for treatment. Based on 5 years data in medical records, there were 37 patients, and the diagnosis were bullous impetigo, impetigo contagiosa, furunculosis, cellulitis, erysipelas, folliculitis, and carbuncle. All patients were treated by systemic antibiotics.
