Xerostomia caused by diabetes melitus indicate the decrease amount of acrini cell Negella sativa Extract study showed that it had antidiabetic effect. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of Nigella sativa extract to increase the amount of acini cell in parotid gland Wistar rat with diabetes mellitus induced by alloxan. This experimental study was held in laboratory with Randomized post test only control group design Twenty four (24) Wistar rat were divided into 4 group consisting of six wistar rat per group kgroup as negative contro group (inducted by NaCI 0.9%) single dose intraperitoneal and CMC 0.1% via sonde). P1 group as positive control group (induced by alloxan 120 mg/kgBB single dose intraperitoneal and CMC 0.% via donde), p2 group (inducted by alloxan 120 mg/kgBB single dose intrapertoneal and Nigella sativa extract dose 2,4 gr/kgBB/day via sonde), P3 group (induced by alloxan 120 mg/BB single intraperitoneal and Nigella sativa extract dose 4,8 gr/kgBB/day via sonde) The dose of Nigella extract was given once daily for three weeks.
