Ekspresi Aktivasi Matriksmetal oproteinase-8 oleh Pajaan Oksigen Hiperbarik pada Gingiva Tikus dengan Diabetes (The Expression of Activation Matrixmetalloprotein-8 by Hyperbaric Oxygen in Diabetik Rats Gingival)
Activated matrix metalloproteinase-8 contribute to periodontal ligament destruction in periodontitis. The active MMP-8 in gingiviva is associated with the degradation of periodontal tissues in progresive periodontitis. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is involved administration 100% oxygen under pressure it has been used as an adjuvant therapy to improve wound healing. To examine the expression of activation matrixmetaloproteinase-8 by oxygen hyperbaric 2,4 ATAin normal and diabetic rats gingiva. A total of 45 male wistar rats were equally in normal (group 1/K1), diabetic (group 2/2).normal + HBO (group 3K3), diabetic + bacteria (group 4/P1). And) diabetic + HBO (group 5/P2) and diabetic + bacteria + HBO (group 6/P3) Experimental diabetic was induced by once daily intraperitoneal administration of streptozotocin at a dose of 30 mg/kg for 4 days. Bacteria induction is done for 5 days in region mandible incisive. The treatment were treated by HBO 2.4 ATA 3x30 minutes interveal for 10 times and 10 days continually a. After 50 days the animals were decapitated and measured the expression MMP-8 in gingiva issue contibually. After 50 days the animals decapitated and measured the expression NNP-8 in gingiva tissue by Western blot method. Alter 10 sessions HBOT were found the expression of activation MMP-8 in gingiva diabetic (group2) and diabetic with becteria (group 4) were found a 50-kDa immunoreactive bend was observed by using MMP-8-specific polycional antibodies. HBO therapy can reduces the expression of activation MMP-8 in diabetic rats gingiva.
