Perbedaan Prevalensi Anemia Defislensi Besi pada Perempuan Hamil di Daerah Pamtai dan Pegunungan di Wilayah Semarang
To describe the characteristics of iron deficiency anemia prevalence in pregnant women in Semarang’s coastal and mountainous area and to prove the difference of iron deficiency anemia prevalence in Semarang’s coastal and mountanious area. Cross sectional study in 7 Semarang city community health care center and 5 Semarang region community health care center, which involed 50 women in scond trimester of pregnancy in coastal area and 50 women trimester of pregnancy in mounttanous are from April to june 2008. We collected blood samples from 50 women in second trimester of pregnancy in each coastal and mountanious area to perform hemoglobin and leukocyte examination by spektrofotometer method by using Nihon Cohden ad ferritin serum by Elisa method using Universal Microplate Reader Elx 800 in Gaky laboratory. Dr, Kariadi Hospital Semarang. We are mean and standard deviation to describe fregquency distribution analysis and x2 different test, t test and Mann Whintney test in bivariat analysis. The mean of hemoglobin in women in second trimester of pregnancy in mountainous are (11.3 mg/dl) are higher and statistically significant (p=0.009) than in control area (10.6 mg/dl). The mean of feritin serum in mountainous re (13.6 ng/dl) are tend to be hiigher than in coastal area (11.9 ng/dl) but statistically insignifically insignificant (p=0.007). Anemia prevalence in mountainous are (18%) is lower and statistically significant (p=0.016) tahn in coastal area (142%). Iron deficiency anemia in women in second trimester of pregnancy in coastal area is higher comparing to them in mountainous area, as much as 42% and 18% conceutively.
