Varicella is a viral infectious disease which a caused by varicells-zoster (shingles). The clinical signs of varicella begin as macule that soon becomes itchy vesicle on scalp, face, and trunk. On the other hand, herpes zoster’s infection commonly manifests as vesicular lesiouns which distributed unilaterally according to the infected sensory nerves. The diagnosis of varicella should be made clinically rather than laboratory (virology and serology). Vaccination and administration of immunoglobulin are recommended for prophylavir has been the drug of choice for both vericella and herpes zoster infection.
