Anemia of diabetic nephropathy patients increases morbidity and mortality. Anemia of diabetic nephropathy occurs of erythropoietin impairment. We investigate of wheither hyperbaric oxygen improved anemia through arythropoietin inducement. Twenty patients of stage 1 nephropathy (incipient nephropathy) of type 2 diabetes mellitus were chosen by inclusion criteria as subjects, which divided randomly into control and treatment groups. All subjects were examined twice in the morning for physical and laboratory variables, such as serum arythropoietin, comolete blood count, urinalysis, fasting blood glucose, HbAtc, C-peptide, total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, urine micro albumin, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine. AST and ALT. Subjects in treatment group were given hyperbaric oxygen 2.4 ATA 100% O2 with 3x30 minutes by 2x5 minutes intervallair brake inhalation, everyday for 5 days.
