Model Prediksi Fungsi Tiroid Berdasarkan Faktor Umur dan Kadar Plumbum (Pb) dalam Darah
Recently there were many reports a occurance of iodine deficiensy Disorders (IDD) and extension of goitre area in Lowlands urban which should be enaugh of iodine. Air pollution caused by motor-vehicle has reached high level in urban area (60-70%). Research in Yogyakarta (1997) found 55.9% subject was contamined by plumbum. Another research found there were mothers with low iodine stans. It is expected other factor’s were inhibiting iodine utilization process. The child bearing age women (CBW) are among vulnerable group when incurred lead exposure. It is related to possible hazard to their pregnancy and foetus. The aim of this study was to find prediction model the thyroid function based on age and blood lead level factors among CBAW with risk of plumbum exposure in urban area. Study design was cross-sectional. This study conducted in crowded traffic area in Yogyakarta. Subject were 99 CBW 15-49 year. Blood lead level was analyzed AAS method. TSH-FT4 by ELISA by APDM: haemoglobin by CyanmetHb CynmetHb: data of cyanide and protein intake were collected by interview using Semi-FFQ: and of cynide and protein intake were collected by interview using Semi-FFQ: and nutritional status was deternined by BMI. Proportion of hypothyroidism was 19.2% (93% CI: 11.4%). The CBAW with high blood level was 49.5%. Logistic regression test result showed there was realtionship between blood lead level with thyroid (p=0,018), RR=3.99). The contribution of age was very small (p=0.031. RR=0,92). The t test result showed there was no relationship between cyanide, protein and iodine consumtion, haemoglobin level, and nutrition status with thyrid function. The high blood lead level was the risk factor of hypothyroid among CBW with risk of plumbum (PB) exposure in urban area.
