Situasi Demam Berdarah Dengue di Kota Palu Sulawesi Tengah Tahun 2001-2008

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is still a major public health problem in Indonesia. Since reported in 1968, the distribution of DHFhas become wider and the incidence has increased in Palu municipality, DHF cases have been reported ever year. Local health depertment has tried to break the cycle by using larvacide, fogging, and source reduction (PSN DBD). However those approaches are still not effective. The aim of this article is to give a description of DHF situation for the last eight years in Palu Municipality. This data can be used for DHF control program in Palu Municipality.
