Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Anemia pada Pekerja di Kawasan Industri Pulo Gadung Jakarta
Anemia among workersis still a major problem in Indonesia that could reduce the productivity. It is cused by many factors for intances insufficiency of iron intake, iron absorption disorder, less variation on diet, diseas, disease and socio-economic condition. The aims of this study are collecting information on prevalence of anemia as well as risk factor associated with anemia among workers at formal industries in Jakarta. This study used cross-sectional survey design collecting 943 workers at formal industries in Jakarta This study used cross-sectional survey design collecting 943 workers, aged 15-55 years old, consists of 641 (67,9%) male and 303 (32,1%) female. Data collected using interview methode with questioner, physical measurement, food intake recall and test Hb. Anemia status basd measurement of haemoglobin concentration were estimated according to the cyanmentemoglobin method using spectrophotometer. Body Mass Index (BMI) was calculated as weight/heighr² Ikg/m²). Status of food intake recall 1x24 hours used methode of interview. Independent variables are characteristics of respondent such as aged, education, gender and occupation and also habits (Exercise, smoking alcohol consumption and food intake), and dependent variable is haemoglobin level. Data analyzed by univariate and bivariate analysis to get Odd Ratio values. Results of this study showed prevalent of anemia among workers were 14,1%; 5,6% for male and 32,1% for male and 32,1% for female respectively. Based on BMI indicator 23,2% of workers have known obese and 61,6% carbohydrate consumption higher dietary allowance standard. Bivariate analysis result showed that factors realetd to anemia are aged 15-39 years old (OR=1,7; 95% CI=1,1-2,4), education (elementary and junior high school, OR=3,3; 95% CI=2,2-4,8)mgender (female OR=7,9; 95% CI=5,2-12,0), and occupational (OR=3,2; 95% CI= 2,2-4,5).
