Baloon Valvuloplasty on Mitral Stenosis (Valvuloplasti Balon pada Stenosis Mitralis)
Mitral stenosis is one of the complications that often caused by chronic rheumatic fever, and usually been cured through operation such as commisurotomy and valve therapy. The progress in intervension cardiology creates new technique without operation known as baloon valvulopplasty. This technique was done by Inoue for the first time to the mitral stenosis patient. This baloon valvuloplasty technique is called : Percutaneous Transluminal Mitral Commisurotomy (PTMC). The fact that PTMC is the easier and safer procedure done and the result will be similar to surgical procedure.
