The Rongenologis Feature of Traditional Medication on Fractures (Gambaran Rongenologis Hasil Pengobatan Tradisional Patah Tulang)
The case study was performed to examined fracture treated by traditional bone healer. Fifteen cases who suffered from simple long bone fractures of the extremities were examined. The x-ray of antero-posterior and lateral views of extremities were used to analyzed after completed therapy. The study showed that most of the cases had complication, such as angulation (80.0 percent), dislocation (73.3 percent) and deformities (26.7 percent) due to inadequate resorption and fixation. Osteomyelitis lession was not found and callus forming was undetected in 26.7 percent cases. Based on the findings, traditional bone healer should be trained to improved their knowledge on basic medical fracture therapies to minimize the complication.
