Measuring S.typhosa Antibody Titre from Suspected Typhoid Fever Patient (Percobaan Pemeriksaan untuk Mencari Titer Antibodi S. typhosa dari Tersangka Penderita Demam Tifoid)

A comparative study between Slide Agglutination Test (SAT) and Widal Test for seeking S. typhosa antibody from suspected typhoid fever human sera has been conducted at the Department of Microbiology School of Medicine University of Indonesia in 1993. The outcome shows that 194 out of 200 human sera samples give same titer result against Widal Test and 6 samples give difference result. Statistically those result, showed no significant differences (p more than 0.05). From practical point of view, Slide Agglutination Test is easter and simpler than Widal Test.
