To depict the role of women of Anak Dalam isolated tribe, in enhancing the health condition of the family we took a sample of 30 households located at Sungai Terap and Kejasung, Batanghari district, Jambi Province. Unit observation is adult man and woman in the household who can communicate with outsiders. Data was collected by interview and direct observation which conducted concurrently with provision of health service and daily need Descriptive qualitative method is used in data analysis. The result shows that women of Kejasung village had already been influenced by modern culture. They were no longer naked, and wear simple casual dresses. They knew the benefit of modern health service and no longer afraid of being injected and ready to adopt family planning and modern medication. But women of Sungai Terap are still untouched by modern values. Knowledge on health of women villagers of those areas is extremely limited due to lack of formal education, back wardness, and proverty and this in turn makes them facing various health problems. Personal hyegine is extremely low, filthy residential environment, mother and child health is rampant, and nutrition is poor. All these entrapped them to be afflicted to various diseases. Women of Anak Dalam isolated tribe are strictly forbidden to meet outsiders unless the Tumenggung (the head of the tribe permits. It is strongly recommended that health providers should firstly convince the Tumenggung to allow their women to meet health workers and this will open possibility in setting up a continuous health program.
