The Effects of Extract Pare Fruit against Testosteron Concentration Serum on Mouse LMR Strain (Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Buah Pare terhadap Kadar Testosteron Serum Tikus Jantan Strain LMR)

Objective : The objective of this study is to know the effect of extract pare fruit against testosteron concentration. Design/data identification : Randomized block design. Setting : Research Center for Medical Science and Technology and Department of Biology, School of Medicine University of Indonesia, Jakarta. Subject : Twenty four adult male rat. Measurement : Doses and concentration of hormone. Results : The extract of pare fruit was given orally from 750 mg to 2,000 mg/kg BW. This doses influence tetosteron concentration. There was significant between doses 1,500 mg to 2,000 mg/kgBW (p less than 0.01). But doses under 1,500 mg/kgBW no significant correlation (p more than 0.05). Conclusions : The extract of pare fruit given was correlation to concentration of testosteron. The higher dose of pare fruit extract given the higher testosteron concentration.
