The Experiences in Using Resectoscope on Patients with Dysfunctional Uterus Bleeding (Pengalaman Pemakaian Resektoskop pada Penanganan Perdarahan Uterus Disfungsional)
Objective : To present the experiences in using resectoscope on the patients with dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Design/data identification : Literature study, historical. Study selection : Study focusing on the operative management on dysfunctional uterine bleeding. Subject, patients, participants : 77 patients underwent endometrial resection with the indication of dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) which failed by conventional management. Results : The duration average of procedures is 94.2 minutes plus/minus 7.6 (Mean plus/minus SE), the patients who became ammenorhea is 25 percent, spotting 25 percent, normal period 40 percent, and without any changes 6 percent. Conclusions : Resectoscope as the surgical procedure in the management of DUB was very effective and safe. Basic and advanced training are necessary, and it is a necessity to master diagnostic hysteroscopy prior to resectoscopy.
