The Survey on Advantage and Obstacle of the Resources at Radiology Unit in Central Java and Bali (Survei Tentang Pemanfaatan dan Kendala Sumber Daya di Unit Radiologi RSU Klas C di Jawa Tengah dan Bali)

In acordance with the program of the Directorate General for Medical Care to anhance radiological services in class C General Hospitals as stated in the GBHN 1993 a survey has been performed in 32 such hospitals in Central Java and Bali during the months September and October 1994 Those radiological services functions as support to Internal. Surgical, obsteterical and paediatric services in those hospitals The survey was performed with questionaires ussued to radiological unit heads on radiological instruments and radiation protection, logistics and management of radiological units, besides a scond questionaire to radiographers themselves on theri education and daily activities to produce x-ray photographs. Ind a total sample of 24 Class C General Hospitals in the Province of Central Java and 8 in the Province of Bali, the general situation shows a more than 50 percent lack on personnel, qualitative and quantitative, besides 20 percent of X-ray instruments are not yet properly utilized Instaliments of budgets are most frequently difficulties encountered in those 32 goverment general hospitals.
