Immune Response through the Schistosoma (Respon Imun terhadap Schistosoma)

In this review the host immunity response to schistosome infestation is described including the immunopathology, as well as the concomitant immunity phenomenon. Immune response to schistosome is produced through antibody-department cell mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC). Immunopathology of schistosomiasis consists of immune reactions type I, III and IV, and the most serious effect is granuloma formation caused by type IV reaction.
