One group of patients was given loratadine-pseudoephedrine and the other group triprolidine-pseudoephedrine. After fourteen days of treatment, the results was evaluated by using Mann-Whitney statistical method. It was found that there was no significant difference in the amount of nasal discharge, severity of nasal obstruction, or frequency of sneezing; except for it chy sensation of the nose, ear and/or palate which showed a significant difference (p less than 0.05). Objective assesment of laratadine-pseudoephedrine had less sedative side effects (p more than 0.001) compared with triprodine-pseudoephedrine.
