Preference and Perception on Sundanese Traditional Foods (Preferensi dan Persepsi Konsumen terhadap Makanan Tradisional Sunda)
The purpose of this study was to identify consumer's preference and perception on Sundanese traditional foods. Data were gathered from two sundanese restaurants in Kotamadya Bogor. About 100 respondents were interviewed during their visit to the restaurants. Respondents were asked to indicate their preferences on different kinds of fish and meats, vegetables, and snack foods; and their perceptions on food attributes: taste, price, appearance, nutrition contents, service, and processing. The results of the study showed that respondents still preferred Sundanese traditional foods, even they chose to eat traditional foods when they visited restaurants. The respondents also perceived traditional foods as tasty, relatively less expensive, interesting appearance, nutritious, and quickly served.
