The Incidence of Infectious Disease on Hospitalized Children (Angka Kejadian Penyakit Infeksi di Ruang Rawat Inap Bagian Ilmu Kesehatan Anak RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo)

The study was conducted to know the pattern of infectious disease in hospitalized children and to know how far the hospital data reflects the pattern of disease in the community. The study was carried out descriptively. Data was collected from the medical record of hospitalized patients in the Department of child Health from 1981 until 1994. The study showed that the proportion of the infectious diseases declined from 85.4 percent to 49.2 percent. The proportion of gastrointestinal infection decreased from 43.2 percent to 37.9 percent. The data also showed that infectious of disease preventable by immunization also decreased, while acute respiratory infectious and other infection did not show any mayor differences.
