This research in focusing on several factors related to the development of coronary heart diseases on stayed patients in Cardiac Center 'Harapan Kita' Jakarta. The primary and secondary data has been collected by using questionnaire and patient health record consecutivelly. The population of this research is all patients who were staying on this Cardiac Center 'Harapan Kita' Jakarta and want to be asked by the health worker. Based on the policy of hospital, sample are whole patients who were hospitalized on the third floor from February to April, 1995. Data was analysed by using chi-square test for descrete variable and odd ratio to know the direction of the association between two variables. t-test was also used to look for the difference between mean of variable being tested. Result on the bivariate analysis is found that the factors influence the incidence of coronary heart diseases are: age, gender (sex), smoking, exercise, stredd, diet pattern, blood cholesterol, hypertention, obesity, and diabetes mellitus. Based on the result, we suggest that hospital should do and improve health education and focusing on prevention of coronary heart diseases to the patients and the most important is their family relatives. Awarness of routine examination before getting sick especially in blood pressure cholesterol serum obesity, and glucose blood level is important to prevention against coronary heart diseases in the future.
