Pyridoxin Therapy for Tetanus Neonatorum (Pengobatan dengan Piridoksin pada Tetanus Neonatorum)

During a 3.5 year period (January 1991 - June 1994), 26 patients with tetanus neonatorum were hospitalized for this study. The patients were treated with ATS injection, metronidazole and amoxycillin orally, diazepam suppositorialy and pyridoxin injection using dosage of 100 mg on the first day followed by 25 mg orally on the next days. The result is good as shown by the decreased mortality of 34.6 percent.
