Contraception is a mean in preventing pregnancies. Among the hormonal contraception methods is the injection of Depo Medroksi Progesteron Asetat (DMPA). The main problem relating to the use of depoprovera is irregular menstrual bleeding (spotting) that happen to most acceptors of injection contraception. About 30% of acceptors claimed that the side effect of injection contraception they experienced is spotting. It is actually not a serious problem nor a sign of a disease, because it is just temporary and will stop after several injections. This research intended to know the difference between the effectiveness of combined tablets and minitablets (kombinasi pil and minipil) in the treatment of spotting among DMPA injection acceptors. The study was designed as a Quasy Experiment with different treatment to each group. The study engaged 2 groups. Ten respondents were given a tablet-combination and another ten respondents were given the minitablets, they were evaluated after 5 days. To facilitate analysis, frequency distribution were produced, Chi-Square test was carried out, and possible differences were exaind by t-test. Statistical calculations resulted in calculated-t value of minitablets that was greater than the calculated-t value of the combined tablets (90.000 > 8.573). This indicated that the minitablets were more effective, and certainly there was a difference in the effectiveness of combined tablets and minitablets in the treatment of spotting among DMPA injection acceptors can be treated by the administration of minitables.
