Hubungan Pengetahuan tentang Bahaya Alkohol dengan Konsumsi Alkohol pada Remaja
Globalization induces freedom in various aspects of life and resulted in free life-style among teenagers (Purwanto, 1999). Among other things, there is an urge to consume liquor as part of such life-style. The lack of understanding on the dangerous risks of alcohols has led teenagers fallen into unawanted situation, such as alcohol dependence, damage to body organs, and even death. This was a a cross sectional descriptive study to analyze the relationship between the working understanding on the risks of alcohol consumption and the current practice in consuming liquors. The population and its sample to be studed were all teenagers living in the Sanggar Alang-Alang Surabaya. Results of the observation indicated a relationship between levels of understanding on the risks of alcohol consumption and the current practice in consuming liquars. Further cross tabulation revealed that there were 6 respondents (16.7%) wiith poor understanding and engaged in alcohol comsumption were, 13 teenagers (36.1%) with good understanding and did not consume alcohols.
