Peran Bidan pada Program Perencanaan Persalinan Pencegahan Komplikasi Berbasis Masyarakat dan Cakupan Persalinan di Desa Siaga Kabupaten Sampang
Various seeded health programs have been introduced in efforts to reduce maternal and child mortality rate. tThe goverment has adopted MCH/FP as a priority program within the overal health development context. All the top programs was directed at primarily improving access to health sevices for pregnant mothers. Among such programs was Desa Siaga progam launced in 2005. In Kabupaten Sampang, Desa Siaga was launched in 2006 and it is expected that by 2008 all vilages in Kabupaten Sampang have been tumed into Desa Siaga. Desa Siaga are villages where their communities possess expressed readiness, capability and wilangness in the prevention and solution of health problems, health related disasters and emergencies. In anticipation of problems and in relation to the maternal and child health program especially through the progarm perencanaan persalinan dan pencegahan komplikasi persalinan (P4K). Such deep concern could beexpressed by getting ready for Siap Anatar Jaga which include four main activities: 1) Notification 2) Tabulin/ Dasolin 3) Village ambulator 4) Blood donor group. Midwives play very important roles in the management and implementation of P4 activities in Desa Siaga villages, artly due to the fact that midwives are the only professional health worker posing as spear points at village level for the entrie basic health srvices. Midwives carry major responsibility for the execution of community based health services or upaya kesehatan berbasis masyarakat, UKBM. The study was aimed at understanding the realtionship between midwive’s role in the management of the community based program perencanaan persalianan dan penanggulangan kompliasi P4K) and extent of overage of deliveries supervised by health workers in Desa Siaga Vilages in areas under the jurisdiction of the Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Sampang. The study connenced in October 2008 as a rossectional observation. The population under study included all midwives in Desa Siaga villages in Kabupaten Sampang, a total of 132 respondents. Description of midwives role in Program P4K resulted from the study indicated that their roles were classified as good (40.2%), moderate (20.5%) and poor (39.4%). Interms of coverage of safe deliveries by health workes, the resulted figure was 50.8%, far below the targetted level (SPM) of Kabupaten Sampang that was set at 72.97%. The statistical correlational test showed p = 000 > α 0.5 which meant there was a relationship between midwive’s role in the management of the (P4K) program and overage of deliveries supervised by health workers in Desa Siaga villages.
