Hubungan Cara Minum Suplemen Fe, Efek Samping dan Kejadian Anemia pada Ibu Hamil
Anemic has become a national issue due to prevalence rate of ranging from 20%to 80%. One the problem associated with attempts to reduce prevalence of anemia relating to pregnancy is subject’s compliance to consume the iron or Fe supplement. The cross sectional investigation was aimed at studying relationship among factors such as supplement consumption pattern, side effects relating to anemic condition. The population under study all pregnant women registered at the Puskesmas Tanah Kalikedinding of Surabaya. Sample of 73 respondents were selected by consecutive sampling exercise. Data were collected by questionnaire and Sahli Hb – metr. The study highlighted a full compliance to taking Fe supplement (76.7%), absence of side effects (45.2%) and experiencing side effects (38,4%), taking Fe supplement with plain water has increased the Hb-level (79.09) at ,534 (>0.05) contingency coefficient meaning that there was no relationship between the means of taking the Fe supplement with an increase in the Hb-level. More than half (66.7%) claimed they experienced nausea, light anemic condition, at 0.509 (>0.05) contingency coefficient, meaning that there was no relationship side effects of Fe supplement with plain water/with lime (64.55) have experienced light anemia at 0.000 (
