Gambaran Diri (Body Image) remaja yang Memiliki Tubuh Over Weight

Obessity is a frightening fact for girls. Overweight becomes a major issue because a girl’s dream of a perfect figure is to have a proportional slim body. The aim of this study is to find out perceptions of a body image among female teenagers with overweight problem, using a descriptive explorative type of study on a population of female teenagers with overweight problem. A sample of 40 resondents seved as the subeject for the study. Which were selected from students of SMAN I Talun. Te variables to be observed in this study is the body image as expressed by teenagers having overweight problem. Collection of data was done by questionnaires and results were presented in frequencydistributions which was then interpreted based on percentages. The study discovered there were some respondents, 52,5% with positive image description of teenagers with overweight, and some respondents, 47,5% with negative body iage description. The study concluded that, if one readly the situation, they tende to have high self-respect. On the contrary if they do not accept situation, shut themselves out, they tend to have low selfrespect
