Faktor Dominan yang Mempengaruhi Status Gizi Balita di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Porong

Nutrient efficiency is still considered a major health problem in Indonesia. There are two factors involved, internal and external factors. The study was an attempt to explain the relationship of these factors with nutrition status. The study involving 120 respondents was carried out in Juwet Kenongo and Gedang, Porong . Data collection was done by questonnaires and weight measurement of infants and children under five years, performed in randomized design. Data were analyzed by Chi-square test a 0.05 significant level. Results of the study showed there are relationship between family income, working knowledge on nutrition and eating habit. To improve nutritional condition of mothers and babies, the study recommends improvements of nutrition education and extension of health services to mothers.
