Gambaran Harga Diri Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronik di Ruang Angsok RSUP Sanglah Denpasar

chronik Kidney Disease is a situation in which both of our kidney are unable to perform their main functions; in addition, kidney disease is categorized as the disease that does not have clear symptoms especially on its first stadium which continuously goes on and for many years (Erik Tapan , 2004) Commonly, chronic kidney disease patients tend to criticize themselves; hence inability pessimistic, and crankiness always disturb them. Those behaviours show tat chronic kidney disease patients possess low self esteem (sarbiah, 2003). Therefore, the research is very interested on investigating the self esteem description of chronic kidney disease patients. The research was conducted in 1,2, and 3 Angsoka ward of Sanglah Hospital started from April to June 2008 in which 30respondents are investigated, the present research uses descriptive research method with cross sectional approach, Furthemore, the sampling technique applied was consecutive by using sectional approach, furthermore, the sampling applied was consecutive by using sectional approach, Furthemore, the sampling technique applied was consecutive by using Resenberg Self-esteem scale. The present study yielded 20 respondents (6,7%) are categorized as medium self-esteem, 8 Respondents (26,7%) are groups as low self-esteem and the others 2 respondents (6,7%) are classified as high self-esteem. From the result we know that the patients Chronic Kidney Disease in Angsoka Ward of Sanglah Hospital got Self-esteem disturbance, so that respondent come in to the middle and lower Self-esteam category.
