Penatalaksanaan Rasa Takut Anak terhadap Perawatan Gigi Melalui Upaya Komunikasi Teraputik

One of cuases of poor dental care among children is the feeling of anxiety towards dental care. Research in four countries such as Indonesia, Japan, Brazilia and Argentina shows that axientiy of children toward dental care have occuved since they are in the patient waiting room. The feeding of anxietiy can be caused by four factors: from within the children, from parents and from the dental are persons. The feeding anxiety happens to children can be reduced by therapeutic communication. In establishing therapeutic communicative relation with children, a dental nurse need to know communication skills in helping children to solve their problem. The therapeutic communication can be categorized in to four phases: pre interaction phase, orientation phase, at work phase, and thermination phase.
