Efek imunostimulan Ekstrak Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L) Secara In Vitro pada Tikus (Immunostimulant Effect of Meniran Extract (Phyllanthus niruri L) in Vivo on Rat)

Immunostimulant effect of sthanolic 80% extract of meniran (Phyllanthus niruriL) has been conducted in-vivo on rat infected-Staphylococcus epidermidis with peritoneum macrophage phagocytic activity as parameter. The extracts were given orally gavage at dosages at dosages of 10 mg (dosage I), 20 mg (dosage2), and 40 mg (dosage 3)/kg body weight (bw) on 15 concecutive days. Twenty four hours later, each rat was infected intraperitoneally by 10⁹ bacteria/ ml. The results showed that the material test at all dosages significantly increased macrophage phagocytic activity 50% (dosage 1), 71 % (dosage 2). And 91 % (dosage 3) successively, while the control group gave 76%. Statistically (α=0.05). macrophage phagocytic activity of dosage 3 was different to the others significantly.
