Program Pelayanan Asuhan Kesehatan Gigi dalam Peningkatan Status Kesehatan Gigi Anak Sekolah

Children will inherit the nation and therefore top priorities should be placed on maintaining their health conditions. Dental Health is part f the more comprehensive general health, and it should be taken care of as early as possible, especially to primary school students who are at the most vulnerable age of suffering from dental ailments. Dental Health Care Service was a program launched by the Government to overcome dental health problems. This Investigation was aimed at describing effectiveness and beneficial aspects of dental health care services especially in the operational area Puskesmas Pucangsewu. This was an observational research. Subjects tobe investigated are 4th grade students of four primary schools located in the operational area Puskesmas Pucangsewu. Data were collected from results of examinations as well as the output of questionnaires. The investigation revealed that the increase of the PTI value has not met WHO’s requirements and standards, however, students knowledge on dental health issues proved to be good.
