DRG’s payment system is a prospective payment mechanism which affects cost efficiency and service quality. The Government Jembrana Bali has been applauded DRG system in jembrana Health Assurance/Jaminan Kesehatan di Jembrana (JKJ) since 2003. Thee are can decreasing maternal Morality from 123 to 105/100.000, Fetal Mortality from 14 to 10,2/100 child bearing. Infant Mortality from 14% to 10,6% dan decreasing BOR from 58, 6 42,1%. (Winasa 2006). Objectives: This paper was meant to know trend of health payment. Discuss: The Diagnosis Related groups (DRG’s) are the patient classification system tat facilitate prospective payment to hospitals. The data elements which define the DRG’s are routinely collected by the the Health Information Management Departmet when a medical record is abtracted. The information includes: Principal diagnosis. Secondary diagnosis (including complications0, Surgical procedures, Age, Sex, Discharge disposition. In Indonesia this system has been implemented since 2003 and Each DRG represent patients with similar rescource intensity, resource utilization, and cost. Conclution: DRG is the new system payment in health care. The hospital with some exceptions, is paid a flat fee for the DRG, regardies of the services actually provided or the actual resources used. The payment represents the average cost of caring for a patient within each particular DRG.
