Hubungan Asam Lemak Trans dengan Risko Penyakit Jantung Pembuluh Darah
Trans fatty acid can be found in partially hydrogenated vegetable oil such as margarine so it is more solid and not easy become rancid. Trans fatty rancid is also can be found in fried food, biscuit, bakery products and foof from ruminant animal like beef, veal and milk. High intake of trans fatty acid will increase low density lipoprotein (DL) and decrease high density lipoprotein (HDL). World health organization (WHOP recommend that intake of trans fatty acid should be limited to less than 1% of total enrgy. Many studied has proved that higher intake of trans fatty acid will lower flow mediated vasodilatation (FMD) and increase risk of myocard infarct. From the studies it is not clear which trans fatty acid has correlation with increasing of cardiovascular disease.
