Hubungan Durasi Tidur yang Pendek dengan Hipertensi di Puskesmas Kelurahan Srengseng Kecamatan Kembangan Kotamadya Jakarta Barat 5-16 Januari 2009
Hipertension is a chronic disese which demands special attention because it has manyfatal complication such as cerebrovascular diseases, cardiovascular diseases and renal dysfunction. Prevalence of hypertension in Puskesmas Kelurahan Srengseng has in creased more than three fold in the year of 2007 compared to the year of 2006. In addition, majority of hypertension patients have complained of having sleep difficulty or lack of sleep. This cross-sectional analytical study is conducted for 12 days on seeking medical treatment in the general polyclinic of Puskesmas Kelurahan Srengseng. Sampling is done using purposive non-random sampling method whist data collection is done through interview as well as direct examination of the patients. Research finding from 110 subjects show that 82 (74,54%) subjects have shoert duration of sleep (≤6 hours/night) in which 46 (56,1%) out of that 82 subjects suffer from hypertension.
