Uji Toksisitas dan Antioksidan Epicambogin dari Kulit Batang Garcinia maluensis Lauterb (Teston Toxicity and Antioxidant of Epicambogin Isolated from Stem Bark of Carcinin moluensis Lauterb)
The stem bark of Garcinia moluensis Lauterb afforded a benzophenone epicambogin (1). The structure was elucidated using IR, MS, NMR spectroscopy and comparison of its spectroscopic data with data reported in the literature. This compound was tested for its bioactivity as antioxidant and toxicity test. The antioxidative activity was evaluated using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. The toxicity was measured by the brine shrimp letality test (BSLT) using Artemia salina Leach. Both of toxicity and antioxidative gave LC50 7,34 µg/mL and IC50 23,27 µg/mL.
