Aktivitas Biologi Xanton dari Garcinia Interiflora BI. (Biological Activity Xanthon from Garcinia Lateriflora BI)

The fructus cortex of Garcinia lateriflora BI. Afforded 2,5 –dihydroxy xanthon (1) The structure of (1) was elucidated using IR, NMR spectroscopy. The data resulted from the education then was compared to the data reported in literatures. The brine shrimp lethality test showed that (1) was toxic (enough active). The bacterial activity test of (1) to Staphylococcus aureus showed that it had a bacterial growth inhibition at concentration of 100, 50 and 25 ppm.
