Pengaruh Karakteristik Organisasi terhadap Motivasi Kerja Penyuluhan Lapangan Keluarga berencana (PLKB) di Kota Medan Tahun 2008
The family Planning Program in Medan is directed to support of minimazing the birth rate as ell as maternal, infant and child mortality rate. The success of the program must be supported by the performance of family Planning Field Extension Workers which is seen from the Family Planning activities and the work motivation of Family Planning Field Extension Workers reported. The data show that the reported active Family Planning is only 60%, and only 56% of The Family Planning Field Extension Workers have got financial allowance and the number of Family Planning Field Extention Workers less than that productive - fertil of couples in Medan. The purpose of this survey study with explanatory research type is to analyze the influence of characteristics of organization on work motivation of family Planning Field Extension Workers in Medan. The population of this study is all of the Family Planning Field Workers serving for the National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN) Medan and 80 of then were selected to be the samples for this study under the criteria that they are assigned in the 21 sub-distric of Medan, have been serving for the National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN) at leat for one year and they have received financial allowance. The data were collected through questionnaire based interviews and the data obtained were analyzed through multiple linter regression test with the level of confidence of 95% (α=0,05). The result of this study shows that the variables of finance (sig=0.03), social affiliation (sig=0.035), career development (sig0.015), work facility (sig=0.036) and aspect of duty (sig=0.020) have influence on work motivation of Family Planning Field Extension Workers in Mean. The most influencing variable on work motivation of the Family Planning Field Extension Workers (PLKB) in Medan is the variable of financial with ß=0.336. It is suggested that amount of incentive be increased, work system be improved through a proportional distribution of main and additional duties and the number of productive fertile of couples in Medan.
