Risk assessment of public health impact containing drinking water and nursing products (fish and shellfish) was conducted on Lancang, Panggang, Untung Jawa and Tidung Island Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta in 2006 The aim of this research was to predict risk of the consumption of marine products. The number samples were 99 from those island. Mercury concentration in those amples were determined by using mercury analyser. One hundred and fifty two respondents who have consumed fish and shellfish were interviewed to study consumption pattern. The result of marine products sample analysis showed that mercury concentration was in the range of no detection to 3.05 part per million (PPM). The highest concentration of mercury was detected in Untung Jawa island (6times higher than maximum allowable concentration). Risk assessment showed that Hg content in marine product smples from Untung Jawa and Tidung Islands have significant impact to its public health (RQ>1), but Hg content in marine product samples from Lancang and Pangan Island have no impact to its public health (RQ≤1). There was no health impact difference between male and female respondents due to consumption patterns in all island.
