Drugs Information in Community Health Centers : An Evaluation Study (Informasi Obat di Puskesmas Suatu Studi Evaluasi)

From a survey conducted at 189 pharmacies in Java, it was revealed that 50 percent of pharmacy visitors have never seen the pharmacies who owns the place. There are only 5.3 percent pharmacists who give information to their patients. How about in Puskesmas ? It is known that drug management in Puskesmas generally heald by senior high school graduatees. Approximately 93.1 percent dispenser in the trial areas and 75 percent in control areas give information to their patients. The data was collected through cross sectional survey by using close ended and self administered questionnaire. An observation was also conducted in 50 selected Puskesmas to observe the interaction process among patients and dispensers in Gresik and Pasuruan regencies, Madiun in East Java, Pasaman and Solok in West Sumatra.
