In order to have a better understanding about the knowledge, attitude, and practices of the hospital based long-term contraceptive services providers towards the basic concepts, activities, and technical aspects of quality Assurance Program, a descriptive study was conducted by interviewing 172 long term contraceptive services providers working at 23 hospitals that provided long term contraceptive services in Jakarta. The results of the study showed that the knowledge and practices providers toward the basic concepts, activities, and technical aspects of quality assurance program, in general had already sufficient, except for the attitude towards applying sanction, because about 15.1 percent - 17.5 percent of the services providers interviewed expressed their objection. Based on these findings, two suggestions were formulated. First, to conduct the quality assurance training program that emphasized more on enhanching the knowledge and practice, rather than the attitude of the services providers. Second, to avoid applying sanction, at least in the first stage, whenever implementing the quality assurance program.
