Manajemen Pemanfaatan Peralatan Kesehatan sebagai Upaya Mengurangi Risiko Pasien

Patien safety is one of quality dimension that currently becomes the main concen in health care both at national level and world wide scale. Responding to this concern we conduct a study almed to reduce patien risk through management of health equipment, with special attention on operational standard and procedures. This is an operational research. Data collected through qualitative methods using interview and quantitative methods using questionnaire and through observation when the equipment was operated. We sampled by purpose three types of hospital; those were main, middle and small typers, located in Middle and East Java. We found that. Planning and procurement of hospital equipments were executed according to the regulation. Purchasing the equipments was matched to the budged sources. We found that 60.4 % of the procurement was sulted with the need, The devices were tilized, used according to the factory standard. Howerever we could not find some operational guidelines that were produced by hospital. We found that some equipment was found that some equipment was over utilized. As there is only one device available, so that time for calibration and maintenance was compromised.
