Habitat Perkembangan Vektor Demam Berdarah Dengue di Kelurahan Kenten Laut Kecamatan Talang Kelapa Kabupaten Banyuasin Propinsi Sumatera Selatan Breeding Places of Dengue Haemorrhagic Vefer (DHF) Vectors in Kenten Laut Village, Talang Kelapa Sub District, Banyuasin, South Sumatra Province)
Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever is still a public health problem in Indonesia the first DHF outbreak occurred in Jakarta in 1968, and it spreads to other areas later, coindicided with the increasing number of population. In line with it, there was an increasing number of districts andcitles with DHF in almost all province, from 226 districts/cities in 2005 to 330 districts/cities in 2006. The aim of the study is toget information about potential breeding places level in Kenten Laut Village, Talang Kelapa subdistricts, Banyuasin districts, South Sumatera province. The data were collected by investigating the presence of Aedes larvae in containers, and recording the type, the position, the maternal, the cover and the color of the containers. The results shows that the most type of the containers reported are drums (37,8%) and from it are detected mostly Aedes larvae (46,2%) Indoor containers is 57,7% and the rest is outdoors, however, the percentage of positive Aedes larvae outdoors (40,4%) is greater than those indoors (25,4%).
Most containers are made of plastics (60,6%) but those made of ceramic contain the most Aedes larvae (60%). Most containers are recorded of blue color (32,1%) but those brown ones contain the most Aedes larvae (47%). The container index (C1) rate is 31,3%.
