Asthama is an inflamatory disorder of the airways in which many cells and cellular elements play a role. Sthama severity is different from asthma control. The point of asthma severity is on the process underlying disease while asthma control is on the adequation of treatment. Classification of asthma severity based on clinical features (before treatment) including intermittent, mild persistent, moderate persistent dan severe persistent. Criteria control of asthma is defined as no (minimal) daytime symptoms, no limitation of daily activities, no nocturnal symptoms, no (minimal) need for reliever treatment, normal lung function and no exacerbations. Levels of asthma control including controlled, parity controled and uncontrolled. Many questionnaire have been published, there are Asthma Therapy Assessment Questionnaire (ATAQ).
