A Comprehensive care is a care wich’s given a whole care include biopsiho\social andspiritual. This time care services still focusing in only biologic rather than psychologic problem. It is little treatment for the the psychologic rather than psychologic problem. It is little treatment for the psychologic problems even be ignored. This is little treatment for the psychologic problems even be igored. This clearly seen in patient with chronic diseases such as chronic kidney diseases failure who need seen in patient eith chronic diseases such as chronic kidney diseases failure who need rather long care and care in hospital. Those patient mostly ger pschologic problems which is related to self concept especially self deference mechanism/coping. This research describe relation between self esteem to coping that happened to chronic kidney failure patients with cross sectional approach. It is used consecutive sampling technique, which is thw chronic kidney failure patientswho quality for including criteria will pick as sample then the data processing and to find the related between self esteem to coping, chi-square technique with P d”0,05is used. Data gathering is done to 86 patients with chronic kidney failure and result is 63% of patient has low self esteem and 3% has maladaptive coping. The chisquare test result is 0,024 and is less than 0,05. Patients with chronic kidney failure has body function change and decrease in ability of daily activities an dit can treat their self esteem. This is one which make the patient feel useless and has low self esteem then that process will influence coping mechanism into maladaptive.
