The perception of body image was a significant risk factor for food comsuption including low food frequency, number of food kinds consumed, and low energy and protein intake (p0.05). This means that the perception of body image is risk factor of food consumption, but not as good predictor variable. It was found that there was 41.1% young adolescence felt themselves havier than their weight. The perception of body image is risk factor for low food consumption. Improving this factor could be an effective strategy, which could reduce and prevent low nutritional status.
