Pemanfaatan Kedelai dalam Pembuatan Bubur Sumsum sebagai Makanan Pendamping ASI (MP-ASI)
Complementary feeding is a transition food between breastfeding and family food. The introduction of complementary feeding should be given in adeuate amount and variations step by step depending on infant’s digestive ability. Mixing foodstuff coud be an adeuate and cheap complementary feeding for infants. The mixing foodstuff should contain energy resources, protein, and ingredients (sugar, fried oil) are added in the flour of the mixing foodstuff or the porridge of the mixing foodstuff. This study aim is to develop a formulation of mixing foodstuff from rice and soybeans to increase protein value in traditional sumsum porridge. Generally, the tradisional porridge rice flour and sugar. The mixing foodstuff could increase protein value and the texture of the sumsum porridge which could be as complementary feeding for infants 6 to 12 months. This was an experimental study with Group Trial Design using three designs and four repetitions. The three designs were including rice and soybeans ratio 75%: 5%. 70% : 10%, and 65% : 15%. Thevalue of protein in sumsum porridge with the mixing foodstuff from 2,51% to 3,49%, while the average of rendement in sumsu porridge with the mixing foodstuff was 53,9%. The study found that sumsum porridge using the mixing foodstuff could be an important complementary feeding for infants 6 to 12 months, because it could provide 2,82% of total protein reuirement for infant every day.
