Pengetahuan Ibu Hamil tentang Persalinan Sungsang (Studi di BPS Ny. Umy Laily Kecamatan Srono Banyuwangi, 2007)
Delivery of Sungsang babies is considered as a high risk delivery with Increased mortality and morbidity risk among mothers. Occurence of Sungsang pregnancy is about 2-3%, but it was considered as a major constraint with mortality rates of about 20-30%. This was adescriptive type of study, aimed at illustrating existing knowledge on Sungsang delivery among pregnant mothers at the BPS Ny. Umy Laily, Kecamatan Srono, Banyuwangi. All pregnant mothers who paid regular visit to have their pregnancy checked at the BPS Ny. Umi laily, Kecamatan Srono, Banyuwangi were considered as the population under study. A purposive sampling procedure was exercised to select 20 individuals for observation. Results of the study on pregnant mothers having formal education of SD, SMP, SMA, aged less tahn 20 years through more than 30 years, having various occupations, indicated that their knowledge on sungsang delivery were good. This merely confirmed that in adition to formal education, additional information through informal education are needed. Therefore the study recomends the provision of health education to the community especially mothers with risk pregnancies
