The study was aimed at identifying the role of mother’s knowledge and perception on dental health in the maintenance of pulpa, in Puskesmas Simomulyo, Surabaya. This was an observational study on mothers with children under five years age, in the jurisdiction of Puskesmas Simomulyo, who came to visit the health center in the month of September. The study discovered that mothers with children under five years of age have poor knowledge and they have wrong perceptions relating to dental healt care. The study identified the need for close and sustainable cooperation between relevant parties in social marketing of dental nurses’ independent roles, to improve knowledge and rectify receptions.
