Hubungan Pendapat Keluarga dan Paritas dengan Sikap Ibu terhadap KB Mow (Studi di Poli KB RSU Haji Surabaya)

This was an analytical investigation using a cross-sectional design. The population under study were individuals who came to Family Planning (FP) Clinic of RSU Haji hospital, during the month of July 2007, to participate in the program as FP acceptors. A sample was drawn from the population using simple random sampling technique and the sample size includes 31 individuals. A questionnaire was utilized in collecting data . Fisher Exact Test was performed in analyzing the collected data at a significance level of 0.05. Results of the study indicated that most candidates for FP acceptors who were classified as having medium family earning and multipara parity exhibited negative reaction toward KB MOW or tubectomy. No association was discovered between family earning and parity with mothers’ attitude toward KB MOW or tubectomy. The study recommends midwives and nurses to provide information and education on KB MOW or tubectomy due to lack of such information among candidates of FP acceptors.
